Spain’s European Championship star Nico Williams has already told Arsenal and Chelsea what club he wants to play for next season.
On Thursday a Riccardo Calafiori own goal saw Spain beat Italy 1-0 and qualify for the Euro 2024 last 16 as Group B winners.
La Roja impressed just days after thrashing Croatia 3-0 in their opening game. Their latest win in Gelsenkirchen could have been by a far bigger scoreline, with Williams, who terrorised Italy right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo, arguably the star of the show.
While the Spanish winger has been widely linked with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, he has stressed he is happy at his current employer Athletic Bilbao.
Speaking to El Partidazo de COPE, Williams said: “I have [been] quite clear where I want to play next season. Athletic is my home.
“I am very happy. I have told my manager that I don’t want to know anything until the Euro is over.”
Meanwhile, Athletic Bilbao president, Jon Uriarte said, via TribalFootball: ”We have impressive talent in the squad. When things are like this, it’s normal that there are players who arouse interest, but we’re not here to talk about rumours.
“Nico is happy in Bilbao and at Athletic and we’re very happy with Nico. We don’t worry about or pay attention to rumours. We’re focused on creating an attractive project for all our players, fighting for titles and competing in Europe.”

Uriarte added: “The club has room for economic manoeuvre to sign players. We had to be able to ensure that the investment did not penalise the expenses.
“We had to balance the accounts and boost the income. That has been our way of acting. At the club we are always aware of what is on the market and identify opportunities.”
