Adrien Rabiot has already hinted at his preferences between Liverpool and Manchester United.
On Thursday Juventus confirmed midfielder Rabiot had left the club upon the expiry of his contract.
The 29-year-old made 212 appearances with the Serie A side, having joined from Paris Saint-Germain back in 2019. During his time in Turin he won a Serie A title, two Italian Cups and one Italian Super Cup.
During a news conference to unveil new manager Thiago Motta, Juventus technical director Cristiano Giuntoli said: “I also want to thank Rabiot.
“Rabiot’s contract has expired. We wish him a happy future, professional and otherwise.”
The midfielder has reportedly been a transfer target for Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Newcastle and Liverpool in the past.
And it’s likely the latter will hold a slight advantage over their Premier League rivals in the pursuit of Rabiot.
The France international has previously revealed he grew up supporting Liverpool, having idolised one of the Liverpool’s greatest players, Steven Gerrard.
“I followed Liverpool as a kid because I was a fan of Steven Gerrard,” he told Tuttosport at the end of 2022 (via Football Italia). “He made me dream, so I used to follow the Reds.”

Moreover, while at the World Cup in Qatar, Rabiot admitted he would be keen to play in English football, having spent time in England with Manchester City’s academy in 2008.
Rabiot explained: “It was very good experience. I didn’t do a whole season, though.
“Everything went well while I was there. I really liked the atmosphere. It’s really something that is only in England. It’s different from France and Italy.
“I have always said that I’d like to play in England in my career. I still have that desire. I’d like to evolve in the Premier League.”
