Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has picked out two targets that could transform Barcelona’s current squad.
Since former Bayern Munich and Germany boss Hansi Flick took over from Xavi in the summer, Barcelona have been on the rise.
Currently, they are top of the La Liga table with 33 points, six ahead of fierce rivals Real Madrid.
Looking ahead to the January transfer window, Romano has claimed that two players are being highly appreciated by the La Liga giants ahead of what would be a summer move.
As reported by Barca Blaugranes, Romano has claimed that Barcelona are targeting Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and AC Milan star Rafael Leao.
Given the fact that they both play on the left side of the attack, it is likely that only one of the two mentioned players will be pursued.
As per Romano, Barcelona director Deco spoke about Williams recently, he tweeted: “”Barça director Deco on Nico Williams: “Nico was in our thoughts last summer… but he made his decision and life continues”.
“”We signed Dani Olmo, he was a priority target for us”, Deco told Mundo Deportivo.””

Prior to the international break, Barcelona were beaten 1-0 by Real Sociedad at the Anoeta, with Sheraldo Becker scoring the winner in the 33rd minute.
Speaking after the match, boss Flick said: “We could have played better, like we did in the first few minutes, but we couldn’t maintain the dynamic and we didn’t create enough chances. We connected well, with possession, but then we started to struggle and with that they scored. In the last third, we weren’t making the right decisions.
“We started well and we scored, but it was wrongly ruled out. I told the referee that it was a bad decision, that it wasn’t Lewandowski’s foot. But we have to accept it.”
The German added: “We tried, and in the end we gave the best of ourselves. But today we weren’t as sharp as other days. Of course we missed Lamine. He is a quality player, clearly. It would be easy to make the excuse of his absence, but we won’t. We didn’t make the right decisions and that’s all.”
Barcelona will be back in La Liga action next weekend when they take on Celta Vigo at the Balaidos on November 23.
