Fans furious as Chelsea leave player out of pre-season squad in bid to ‘force’ him out of the club

Chelsea have reportedly left one player out of their squad for their pre-season tour in a bid to force him out of the club.

As reported by The Chelsea Spot, who wrote on social media: “Trevoh Chalobah has not been taken with the first team on the USA pre-season tour, as the club try and force the defender out the club…

“The squad fly out this evening and official confirmation of the full squad is expected to be made later tonight!”

Later on Monday afternoon, talkSPORT’s Alex Crook wrote: “BREAKING: Trevoh Chalobah has been left out of #CFC pre season tour. More on @talkSPORT.”

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “We’re a classless club again. Final years under Roman we started building a positive reputation.”

Another tweeted: “Petition to sack the board, they have no ambition to build something and they don’t respect what we built.”

A third fan added: “Trying to force your best defender out is crazy.”

Someone else wrote: “Absolutely disgusting treatment after what he has done for the club… disgraceful.”

A fifth commented: “He should of took the hint a while ago, we literally have 3 players ahead of him.”

Chalobah faces an uncertain future at the club after the arrival of Tosin Adarabioyo at Chelsea, who recently said: “Pre-season has been great so far. All the training sessions and getting to know the boys have been real highlights. I’ve had a lot of fun so far.

“Everyone has been great with me and helped me settle. It’s been great getting to know all of them – and I think that’s shown in that picture of the winners in the gym session earlier in the week.”

He added: “I’ve enjoyed my first few weeks. We are working hard and learning the way the manager [Enzo Maresca] wants us to play. We have spent time focusing on that while doing the physical work.

“It’s great because he is asking a lot of me and the other defenders. It starts with the central defenders and the goalkeeper; we are the focal point.”
