Jose Mourinho attempts knee slide on pitch after Fenerbahce goal and gets it horribly wrong [VIDEO]

A hilarious clip of Jose Mourinho attempting a knee slide after Fenerbahce scored a late winner has gone viral online.

Due to his brutal interviews and funny moments, Mourinho has become of the most popular managers in the history of football.

After managing several top clubs across Europe, such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Milan, the 61-year-old is now in charge of Turkish club Fenerbahce.

And while leading the side in their latest league match, the Portuguese manager produced another hilarious viral clip.

On Sunday, Fenerbahce defeated 11th-placed Trabzonspor 3-2 in a close fought league match that came down to an injury time winner from midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

A brace of penalties from Trabzonspor’s Simon Banza set the hosts up for a win but goals from former Manchester United midfielder, Fred, and Edin Dzeko, levelled the game at 2-2 heading into the closing moments.

And as Amrabat found the back of the net in the 102nd minute of the match, Mourinho hilariously came crashing to the ground after failing in a knee slide attempt to celebtate the late winner.

The three points put Fenerbahce into second place in the Turksih Super League, but the win was not without controversy as referee Halil Umut Meler found himself subject of a wave of criticism.

In his post-match interview with Bein Sports, Mourinho spoke out against the referee and the standard of the officials in Turkey, claiming he would not have agreed to join Fenerbahce if he was aware of the standard of refereeing in the country.

“The man of the match was Atilla KaraoÄŸlan,” said Mourinho.

“The invisible man. The referee on the field is just a child. Atilla KaraoÄŸlan is the man of the match.

“We don’t want to see him in our matches again. We don’t want him as a VAR either. We don’t want him on the field either. Before I came here, I was told a lot of things and I didn’t believe it. It was even worse.”

“We faced a good team and they fought well, but we are playing against the system,” he continued.

“I am angry with the Fenerbahçe managers who brought me here, they told me half of this.

“If they told me the whole thing, I would not come to Fenerbahce. They told me half of the story before I came. If they told me the whole thing, I would not come if I knew.”Featured Image Credit: beinsports
