Lionel Messi has broken silence with a rare outspoken comment after seeing the unprecedented events which resulted in Argentina losing to Morocco.
La Albiceleste, who have Julian Alvarez, Nicolas Otamendi and Enzo Fernandez in their squad, went into the tournaments as one of the favourites.
However, they found themselves 2-0 down to Morocco in Saint-Etienne following a brace from Soufiane Rahimi.
Giuliano Simeone pulled one back 68th minute and then Argentina looked to have levelled matters in the 106th minute through Cristian Medina.
A total of 15 minutes were added on by the referee, with Medina heading home in the 16th after a huge scramble.
Fans were baffled as to how so much time was added on but that’s not where the controversy ended.
Morocco players hurled firecrackers and bottles at Argentina players and the game was suspended without confirmation of the result.
It was then communicated that the two sides would return to the pitch without any fans, for three more minutes of action.
Medina’s goal was disallowed for a marginal offside following a VAR review which took place a staggering 92 minutes after the ball was in the net.

Morocco held on and claimed victory in the final minutes. Messi, who won Gold at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, was not happy whatsoever.
The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner took to Instagram to fume, writing: “Insolito” – which translates to “Unbelievable”.
He also added a stunned emoji to express how he was left feeling.

Messi’s long-time teammate Javier Mascherano is managing the Argentina side and he was furious with the turn of events.
Asked about what happened, he said it was “the biggest circus I’ve ever seen in my life”.
Argentina are back in action on Saturday when they take on Iraq in their second game in Group B.
