The Premier League title run-in has been simulated a whopping 4000 times, producing a clear winner out of Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal.
This season’s title race is hotting up as Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal compete against each other in what is shaping up to be a thrilling second half of the term.
Jurgen Klopp’s side currently have 54 points on the board, just two points ahead of Man City and Arsenal, who have both recorded 52 points so far.
The Gunners opened up the title race by beating Liverpool earlier this month, claiming a big 3-1 victory at the Emirates.
But the Reds returned to winning ways last weekend, beating Burnley 3-1 – but the result came at a price.
As for the Blues, they’ve won six league games in a row since drawing 2-2 at home to Crystal Palace, beating the likes of Everton, Newcastle United and Brentford.
While Man City look rampant and seem to be kicking into their title-race form, it’s Liverpool who are favoured to win the league, according to a fascinating simulation.
The run-in has been simulated 4000 times by a study, which revealed Liverpool finishing top 40.5 per cent of the time.
Man City came top in 31.3 per cent of the simulations while Arsenal topped the league 20.1 per cent of the time.
Liverpool will be looking to give Klopp the perfect send-off as he departs Anfield at the end of the season.
The legendary German boss inspired his side to league glory in the 2019/20 season.
But Guardiola’s Man City have held a stranglehold on the Premier League, winning the league title five times in six years.
The Premier League resumes this weekend as Liverpool face Brentford on Saturday lunchtime while Man City take on Chelsea. Arsenal head to Burnley.
