The amount of tax players in the England Euro 2024 squad pay has been revealed.
England are currently in Germany as they look to go all the way and win Euro 2024.
Gareth Southgate’s men have had to deal with a huge amount of criticism after disappointing group-stage performances.
Despite all the criticism, England still managed to finish top of Group C and will take on Slovakia at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen on Sunday evening.
Ahead of the match, the latest research conducted by financial expert RIFT has revealed how much tax the England players have paid.
As per London Loves Business, the Three Lions Euro 2024 squad earned a total of £98 million a year after tax.
It was estimated that they paid a combined total of £85.4 million in tax.
According to the report, Harry Kane is England’s highest earner with a gross salary of £21.1 million per year. It is believed that the Bayern Munich star pays £10 million in tax, leaving him with £11.1 million in earnings.
Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham is thought to take home £9.9 million per annum after tax.
John Stones, who is reportedly the highest-earning member of the England squad who plays his football domestically, RIFT estimated that he pays £6 million of his £13 million salary to HMRC.

The report continued: “Rice and Foden complete the top five highest paid England Euro stars, earning £12.5m and £11.7m respectively each year, with £5.9m to £5.5m of that going to the taxman.”
Meanwhile, Brentford star striker Ivan Toney is the lowest-paid player in the England squad, taking home just over £1 million per year. It has been estimated that he pays £477,014 to the taxman.
Bradley Post, MD of RIFT, said, “It’s hard to know what weighs more for the current England squad, the expectations of the nation on their shoulders or their heavy tax contributions. With such astronomical earnings, England supporters will be justifiably hoping that we don’t see another repeat of the Denmark game.
“Although we often get frustrated with the earnings, and sometimes performances, of the men’s England football team, it’s worth noting how much they contribute to our UK services with the taxes, so let’s get behind the team for the final group game against Slovenia tonight.”
