A former Tottenham star has aimed into Liverpool’s Mo Salah for returning to England to undergo treatment for a hamstring injury.
Salah was recently forced off during Egypt’s second game in the Africa Cup of Nations a 2-2 draw with Ghana.
He is expected to be out for a few weeks but still hopes he can play some part in his country’s tournament if they are to reach the latter stages.
Three draws saw Egypt qualifier for the last 16 of the competition where they will face the DR Congo. They last won the competition in 2010 and narrowly missed out two years ago losing the final 4-2 on penalties.
Salah has returned to Liverpool in the hope of better treatment which will help speed up his recovery.

However, former Spurs and Egypt star Mido has criticised 31-year-old replying to a picture of Salah doing some stretching exercises.
He sarcastically said: “Oh, these exercises are so dirty and rigid, it is difficult to do them except in Liverpool.”
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has defended Salah’s decision to return to the club for the best medical treatment available and insists it will give him the best chance of returning to AFCON.
“If he stays in Africa and they can’t do the proper treatment, it will just delay everything, especially for Egypt if they go through the tournament,” Klopp said.
Mark Goldbridge speaks about controversial Newcastle goal vs Arsenal
“We bring him here not because we want to take him away from Egypt but just to offer the best medical treatment. That is all we want.
“It’s all agreed. If Salah is fit and Egypt go to the final, it was always clear; he goes back, 100 percent. Mo wants that, and we want that.
“We are completely honest, and if I said something too early… I said, ‘I think it’s agreed.’ That’s what I heard.”
Regardless of whether he returns in time to re-join Egypt, Liverpool will be without their star man for crucial league fixtures against Chelsea and Arsenal.
